“UTME PIN vending closes on February 26, while UTME registration closes on February 28.”-Adamu

He also announced that Direct Entry (DE) registration will run from:

March 2, 2026, to April 25, 2026, and will be done only at the JAMB Office in Dutse

How You Can Still Be Part of the UTME or Direct Entry

If you are yet to register, follow these simple steps:

  1. Get your JAMB profile code by sending your NIN to 55019 or 66019.
  1. Buy your UTME PIN from an approved vendor or bank before February 26
  1. Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre in Jigawa State to complete your registration before February 28
  1. For Direct Entry candidates, go directly to the JAMB Office in Dutse from March 2

Candidates are also advised to confirm centre locations and guidelines on the official JAMB website.

This update is important for students in Jigawa State and neighbouring states who still plan to write the 2026 UTME or apply through Direct Entry. Missing the deadlines means waiting another year, so interested candidates are encouraged to complete their registration early and avoid last-minute issues.
