Dangote Foundation Distributes Rice to 35,000 Families in Kaduna State
The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has extended a helping hand to vulnerable families in Kaduna State through the distribution of 35,000 bags of 10kg rice. This is part of its annual National Food Intervention Project, which targets over one million underprivileged Nigerians across the country.
Each of Kaduna’s 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) is set to receive 1,522 bags, aimed at easing the burden of food insecurity in the state.
Support from the Kaduna State Government
Governor Uba Sani, represented by his Chief of Staff, Sani Liman Kila, during the official flag-off in Kaduna, expressed gratitude to the Dangote Foundation. He commended the Foundation’s efforts in fighting poverty and hunger, especially during challenging economic times.
He noted that the initiative aligns with Kaduna State’s social investment programs, which focus on health, education, and social protection. “Since the inception of our administration, we have impacted lives through delivery of basic services,” Sani said.
He also highlighted the government’s ongoing support for economic recovery, financial inclusion, and humanitarian response—especially for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
“The distribution of palliatives reflects our commitment to supporting communities in line with our core values of compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility.”
