How Nigerian Students Can Access Food Security Research Grants: Lessons from University of Abuja Scholars

Twenty-five final-year students from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Abuja have received Food Security Research Grants worth over ₦3.2 million under the Nigeria Food Security Scholars Programme. 

The initiative, supported by the Nigerian Food Security Project, aims to encourage research-based solutions to Nigeria’s growing food security challenges. The students will conduct research on key areas such as climate resilience, agricultural supply chains, sustainable food systems, youth participation in agriculture, and post-harvest loss reduction.
