Katsina Expands Women Empowerment Programme to All 34 LGAs: Here’s How Women Can Benefit

The Katsina Women Empowerment Programme is set to reach more women following the announcement by Governor Dikko Radda that the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU) will be expanded to all 34 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state. 

The initiative, supported by the World Bank and implemented by the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with participating states, is designed to improve the livelihoods of women through savings groups, financial inclusion, business support, and economic empowerment.

According to Governor Radda: 

  • More than 57,000 women have joined organized savings groups.

The state government also contributed ₦4 billion as counterpart funding, demonstrating its commitment to empowering women across the state.
