MTN Africa PachiPanda Challenge 2026: How Nigerian Youths Can Apply for Up to ₦5 Million 

Deadline: August 28, 2026 

Young Nigerians with innovative ideas for tackling environmental problems have a major opportunity through the MTN Africa PachiPanda Challenge 2026. 

The initiative, organised by MTN and the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), supports youth-driven solutions to environmental and sustainability challenges across Africa. In Nigeria, the challenge is also supported by the Nigeria Conservation Foundation (NCF), UNDP Nigeria and Deloitte Nigeria

Who Can Apply? 

The Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge is open to: 

  • Nigerians aged 18–35 
  • University and college students 
  • Young entrepreneurs 
  • Individuals with innovative environmental solutions 
  • Youth-led SMEs 
  • Teams of up to three people 

Applicants can submit an idea-stage or early-stage solution, making this particularly useful for young innovators who have not yet built a large business. 

What Kind of Ideas Are Wanted? 

The challenge focuses on solutions addressing climate change and climate-smart cities/urban resilience

Ideas could tackle areas such as waste management, pollution reduction, greenhouse gas emissions, climate adaptation, sustainability, and community resilience. Technology, business, behavioral, and creative solutions can all be relevant. 

What Can Winners Gain? 

The Nigerian winners will receive: 

1st place — ₦5 million 2nd place — ₦3 million  3rd place — ₦2 million 

Winners will also have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Africa PachiPanda Finale in South Africa

Applicants should visit the official MTN PachiPanda Challenge page, select Nigeria, register online and submit their solution before the deadline. 

Your application should clearly explain your idea, why it is innovative, its potential impact and evidence or proof of concept where available.
