Ojodu Residents Can Now Access LSETF Loans, Business Support and Job Opportunities Closer to Home

Residents and entrepreneurs in Ojodu, Lagos, now have easier access to government-backed business loans, entrepreneurship support and employment opportunities following a new partnership between the Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).

The partnership has led to the opening of an LSETF liaison office at the Ojodu LCDA Secretariat, creating a closer point of contact for residents seeking information and support.

What Does This Mean for Ojodu Residents?

The new office is expected to help entrepreneurs, small business owners and job seekers access information about available LSETF programmes without depending entirely on the agency’s central office.

Residents may be able to get guidance on:

  • Business and MSME financing opportunities
  • Entrepreneurship training and business development
  • Employability and skills-development programmes
  • Job-related opportunities and career support
  • Business advisory and capacity-building programmes

According to LSETF, its business support initiatives include training, advisory services, access-to-market opportunities, business incubation, and support for business formalisation.

“The facility represents an important platform for bringing the fund’s interventions closer to residents at the grassroots.” — Oyindamola Egbeyemi, LSETF Director of Programmes and Coordination.

How Business Owners Can Benefit

Eligible Lagos business owners can explore LSETF financing programmes designed to help businesses grow and create jobs. The official LSETF MSME Loan Programme currently lists different funding categories for micro enterprises, start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses, with specific eligibility requirements.

Before applying, entrepreneurs should prepare important documents and confirm the current requirements directly with LSETF.

Opportunities for Job Seekers

Young people and job seekers can also benefit from LSETF employability programmes, which provide vocational training, soft-skills training, workshops, and other career-development opportunities.

The Ojodu liaison office could make it easier for residents to receive updates and guidance about programmes available to them.

The new Ojodu LCDA–LSETF liaison office is a potentially valuable opportunity for residents who need funding, business support, skills training or employment information. Entrepreneurs and job seekers should visit the appropriate office and regularly check official LSETF channels for current eligibility requirements and application opportunities.
