INEC 2027 Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment: Nigerians Can Apply

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its official INECPRES portal for recruitment of ad-hoc personnel for the 2027 General Elections.
The recruitment covers several categories, including Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), RAC Managers, and Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH).
“The Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for recruitment as Ad-hoc Staff for the 2027 General Elections.”
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility depends on the position. INEC’s official portal states that:
- SPO applicants should generally be public/civil servants on Grade Level 10–14 or eligible INEC personnel.
- RAC Managers should be heads or staff of institutions hosting Registration Area Centres, meeting the specified grade-level requirement.
- PO/APO applicants can include serving NYSC members, eligible tertiary students, certain MDA staff and eligible former corps members.
- RATECH applicants must have an IT background and meet the stated conditions.
Applicants must also meet INEC’s stated conditions concerning political party membership/support and state of residence.
Documents Required
Applicants should prepare a functional email address and phone number, personal bank account, recent passport photograph, referee details, relevant staff/student identification, qualification documents, and valid identification.

18 November 2026.
The official portal currently confirms that recruitment for the 2027 General Elections is active and gives November 18, 2026 as the closing date.
