In a statement released on Thursday, the Director General of the NBSA, Prof. Saleh Yuguda, emphasized that the incident resulted in multiple casualties, many of whom require immediate blood transfusions. According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the explosion occurred on Wednesday at about 7 p.m. when a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck lost control and crashed into another truck along the Aya-Karu expressway. The accident led to:
