FCMB and IFC Join Forces to Empower Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to bring the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme to Nigeria. This initiative aims to equip female entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to grow their businesses and contribute to the nation’s economy.
The training is developed by Goldman Sachs and delivered through the University of Leeds. It combines practical education, interactive activities, and guidance from experienced educators in top business schools worldwide.
Building on SheVentures’ Success
This partnership expands on FCMB’s SheVentures initiative, which has empowered women entrepreneurs in Nigeria for over five years. So far, SheVentures has provided:
₦800 million in zero-interest loans
Training and mentorship to thousands of women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme is a worldwide initiative that has already reached over 200,000 entrepreneurs globally. The Nigerian edition will be open to all SMEs, whether start-ups or established businesses. Participants will gain:

Eligibility to join the 10,000 Women alumni community for continued networking and support
How to Apply
Applications for the Nigerian programme opened on August 1, 2025, and will close on August 31, 2025. Interested female entrepreneurs across the country can apply online to secure a spot in the training.
