Nollywood star, Lilian Afegbai, has shared the inspiring story behind her role as Idia in the hit film To Kill a Monkey. According to her, the role was not just another acting gig but a defining moment where years of preparation finally aligned with the right opportunity. 

Speaking in an interview, Afegbai said, “This project was a case of preparation meeting opportunity, all facilitated by divine alignment from God. I wanted it, prepared myself, and delivered.” She expressed excitement about working under the direction of Kemi Adetiba, who, despite not being of Edo origin, successfully told a culturally rich and authentic story.
