Lagos to Host Entertainment Week Africa 2025: Opportunities for Creatives

Cultural Experience

Lagos will play host to Entertainment Week Africa (EWA) 2025 from November 18 to 23, 2025, creating a platform for African creatives to connect with global investors, industry leaders, and policymakers.

Formerly known as Entertainment Week Lagos, the event has expanded its reach to highlight Africa’s growing creative economy across music, film, fashion, technology, and live production.

What to Expect at EWA 2025

EWA 2025 will feature six major events designed to give creatives exposure and access to opportunities:

Content Festival – networking for film, TV, and digital creators.

Music Festival – a stage for musicians and producers to showcase their work.

Fashion Festival – celebrating African designers and brands.

AI & Tech Expo – where creativity meets technology.

Live Production Expo – for stage managers, event producers, and technical experts.

Creative Job Fair – connecting talent to real job opportunities.

How Creatives Can Benefit

Register Early – Interested creatives should sign up for the festival through the official EWA website or partner platforms. Early registration often provides access to mentorship sessions and discounted passes.

Showcase Your Work – Whether you are into music, film, fashion, or technology, apply to perform, exhibit, or pitch your ideas. This is a direct way to gain visibility.

Network Strategically – Prepare your portfolio, business cards, or media kits to share with investors and industry leaders. Opportunities come from meaningful conversations.

Attend the Job Fair – Emerging talents can connect with recruiters, production companies, and international partners looking for fresh skills.

Seek Mentorship and Funding – Take advantage of masterclasses, panels, and one-on-one sessions designed to link creatives with experienced mentors and investors.

“Entertainment Week Africa is more than an event; it is a bridge between Africa’s creative talent and the global stage, opening doors to mentorship, funding, and international opportunities.”

Why It Matters

According to co-founder Darey Art Alade, “In just three years, what started as a local initiative has transformed into a continental force. Entertainment Week Africa is a commitment to building a pan-African creative economy that is visible, viable, and globally competitive.”

With Africa’s creative industries projected to add billions to the continent’s GDP and create millions of jobs, EWA 2025 offers a structured entry point for both local creatives and international investors.

EWA 2025 is not just an event—it is a gateway for African creatives to grow, connect, and expand globally. By preparing ahead, registering, and participating actively, creatives can position themselves for mentorship, funding, and global partnerships. Lagos will once again prove itself as Africa’s creative hub.
