A Promise Fulfilled

Mikano Motors, a subsidiary of Mikano International Limited, has officially handed over a brand new Eado Plus car to Dora Ogah, the winner of the 45th Miss Nigeria beauty pageant. The ceremony took place at Mikano’s main office in Lagos, fulfilling the company’s earlier pledge to reward the winner of the prestigious competition.

The pageant, which was themed “Cultural Heritage and Community Engagement”, was held in December 2024. However, the car presentation took place on Monday, marking a memorable moment in Ogah’s reign as Miss Nigeria.

Supporting Culture and Female Empowerment

Speaking during the handover event, Omar Karameh, Executive Director of Mikano International Limited, emphasized the company’s long-standing support for arts, culture, and entertainment in Nigeria. He noted that Miss Nigeria is more than just a beauty contest—it is a platform that celebrates strength, intelligence, and leadership among young Nigerian women.

“Mikano has always stood as a proud supporter of our nation’s arts and entertainment sector,” Karameh said. “We believe that celebrating these remarkable women helps pave the way for a more empowered and brighter Nigeria.”

He further stated that Mikano Motors remains committed to uplifting values, talents, and leadership potential among Nigerian women, as shown through its continued support for events like Miss Nigeria and the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

A Symbol of Purpose and Impact

In her response, Dora Ogah expressed deep gratitude to Mikano Motors for the gift. She described winning Miss Nigeria as a life-changing experience and said the new car symbolizes more than just luxury—it represents the journey ahead in her role as a youth advocate.

“This car is not just a means of transportation,” she said. “It signifies the purpose-driven journey I’m about to embark on—advocating for change, inspiring young girls, and making a positive impact in communities across Nigeria.

The gesture by Mikano Motors goes beyond a ceremonial handover. It reflects the power of corporate support in promoting Nigerian culture, encouraging young talent, and investing in the future of female leadership. As Dora Ogah begins her reign, she carries not just a title but a mission—to be a voice and role model for the next generation of Nigerian women.
