NYSC 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp Opens Nationwide 

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially opened the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 orientation camps across Nigeria today, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The announcement was made in a recent post on the scheme’s official X account (formerly Twitter). 

Deployment Letters Now Available 

Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) can now access their deployment letters online. The deployment details will help PCMs prepare adequately for their service year and ensure a smooth transition into the three-week orientation programme. 

NYSC Issues Safety Advisory 

The NYSC has issued a strong safety advisory to all PCMs, urging them to prioritize their safety during travels. “PCMs are advised not to travel at night to the Orientation Camp,” the scheme emphasized. This is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of corps members en route to their designated camps. 

Registration Requirements 

Upon arrival at the orientation camps, PCMs are required to complete specific registration formalities. One critical requirement is the printing and signing of an addendum, which must be submitted during camp registration. PCMs are advised to adhere strictly to these guidelines to avoid unnecessary delays. 

Alternative Camp Locations for Lagos and FCT PCMs 

Due to logistical arrangements, some PCMs originally deployed to Lagos State will attend orientation camps in Ekiti, Ondo, or Osun States. Similarly, those assigned to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will have their orientation exercises in Nasarawa or Kaduna States. The NYSC urged PCMs affected by these changes to comply with the directives and make the necessary travel arrangements. 

Preparing for the Orientation Programme 

The three-week orientation programme is mandatory for all PCMs. It is a crucial part of the NYSC scheme, designed to instill discipline, teamwork, and national unity among participants. The NYSC also encouraged PCMs to follow its official social media platforms for further updates and announcements.
