Oyo Youth Agribusiness Loan Scheme 2026: How Young Nigerians Can Apply and Benefit

The Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency has announced a new loan programme aimed at empowering young farmers and boosting agriculture across Oyo State. The initiative is set to begin soon and is designed to help youths build sustainable agribusiness ventures. 

What the Loan Scheme Is About 

The programme, known as the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture Programme, focuses on: 

Providing loans to young farmers 

Offering training in modern farming techniques 

Supporting agribusiness startups 

This initiative is part of the state’s broader effort to improve food security, create jobs, and grow the economy.

Who Can Benefit? 

This programme is ideal for: 

Young Nigerians interested in farming or agribusiness 

Existing farmers looking to expand their business 

Youths willing to learn and commit to agriculture 

So far, over 60 youths have already received training, with more expected to join. 

Training and Support 

Participants will receive: 

Hands-on training at the Centre for Skills and Services 

Guidance from agricultural experts and partner organisations 

Access to funding to start or scale their businesses 

The government has also previously disbursed ₦1 billion in agricultural loans under its economic recovery programme. 

How to Apply for the Oyo Agribusiness Loan Scheme 

To be part of this programme, follow these steps: 

1. Show Interest 

Visit OYSADA offices or follow official announcements online 

Look out for application openings and deadlines 

2. Register for the Programme 

Fill out application forms when available 

Provide basic details about your interest in agribusiness 

3. Attend Training 

Selected applicants will undergo training in modern farming and agribusiness practices 

4. Meet Selection Criteria 

Applicants are chosen based on:

5. Access Funding 

Successful candidates will receive loans through the Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State in partnership with financial institutions like First City Monument Bank
