Prophet Sam Ojo to Nigerian Youths: “Work Hard, Don’t Rely Solely on Miracles”

Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo

Renowned cleric Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, popularly known as “Baba Authority,” has called on Nigerian youths to embrace hard work, creativity, and persistence rather than depending solely on miracles for success. Speaking during the ongoing 30-day fasting and prayer session, Prophet Ojo highlighted the need for practical efforts in achieving personal growth and financial independence.

Faith Without Works Is Dead

Prophet Ojo emphasized that miracles are meant to complement effort, not replace it. “Faith without works is dead,” he said, urging Nigerians to overcome the barriers of unemployment, economic hardship, and over-reliance on spiritual intervention. He noted that many people fail to achieve success because they neglect to use their God-given talents and abilities.

“God has blessed everyone with unique gifts,” he said. “The key to prosperity lies in identifying those gifts and working diligently with your hands.”

Stop Relying on Social Media

The cleric criticized excessive time spent on social media, stating that it often distracts individuals from productive activities. “No one will pay you for just watching social media content,” he said. “While content creators are getting richer, you are not using your brain to work. May you not carry a ‘coconut head’ this year.”

He encouraged youths to start small and not wait until they have enough money to rent a shop. “Most people who own shops are now selling online. Begin somewhere, no matter how little,” he advised.

Appreciate Others’ Success

Prophet Ojo also stressed the importance of appreciating others’ success rather than harboring bitterness. “Don’t fight glory. Celebrate those doing great things, and glory will radiate in your life,” he said. He shared his own journey of humble beginnings, knocking on doors for over 20 years before achieving significant success.

Call for Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship

Prophet Ojo urged young Nigerians to embrace skill acquisition and entrepreneurship as pathways to financial independence. He also called on leaders to create an environment where people can thrive through their efforts.

Prophet Ojo’s message underscores the synergy between faith and action. By working hard, embracing creativity, and appreciating others’ success, youths can overcome challenges and achieve greatness. As he aptly put it, “The only thing that makes prayer work is when you are doing something.
