Tony Elumelu Foundation Shares $100M Grant – How African Entrepreneurs Can Apply and Benefit
The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has disbursed over $100 million to support more than 24,000 entrepreneurs across 54 African countries since launching its flagship programme in 2015.
This was revealed by the Foundation’s CEO, Somachi Chris-Asoluka, during a virtual press conference announcing the 2026 cohort of 3,200 beneficiaries.
Massive Impact Across Africa
According to the foundation, beneficiaries of the programme have collectively generated over $4.2 billion in revenue and created more than 1.5 million jobs, both directly and indirectly.
The initiative focuses on tackling unemployment in Africa by supporting small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), which remain a key driver of economic growth on the continent.
