Mouka and Lagos State Celebrate New Year Babies

Mouka, a leading mattress company in Nigeria, marked the start of 2025 by celebrating the first babies born in the country as part of its yearly tradition. This initiative, which took place across 13 states, reflects Mouka’s dedication to improving lives through community support.
Celebrations Across Multiple States
Mouka partnered with public hospitals in Lagos, Oyo, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Gombe, Kano, and Plateau States to honor newborns and their families. The company distributed gift items, including Mouka Dreamtime Baby Mattresses, pillows, nappies, and other baby care essentials.
In Oyo State, Baby Asimiyu, born at 12:01 a.m., and Baby Olaniyi, born at 2:43 a.m., were celebrated at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan. Similar celebrations took place in other states, spreading joy and support to families nationwide.
Highlights from Lagos State
In Lagos, Mouka collaborated with First Lady Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu to honor New Year babies at three hospitals: Isolo General Hospital, Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, and Ikorodu General Hospital. At a special event at Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, families of the first babies born in Lagos from 2020 to 2024 came together for a celebration.
Ikorodu General Hospital: Baby Olaolu, a girl weighing 2.75 kg, was born at 12:34 a.m., becoming the first baby of 2025.
Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital: Twins Osayomi were born minutes apart. The baby girl weighed 2.5 kg and was born at 12:14 a.m., followed by her brother at 12:15 a.m., weighing 2.49 kg.
Isolo General Hospital: Baby Lawal, a boy weighing 2.7 kg, was born at 1:32 a.m.
Promoting Healthy Sleep for Children
Mouka’s brand manager, Tolani Tijani, speaking on behalf of the company’s chief commercial officer, emphasized the importance of quality sleep for children’s development.
