FCMB Wins Award for Empowering Nigerian Youth Through Social Impact

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has been honored with the Changemaker Collaboration Award by Enactus Nigeria for its outstanding role in empowering young Nigerians to become problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and positive change-makers.

The award was presented during the 25th Anniversary Gala of Enactus Nigeria, a youth-focused initiative active in over 30 tertiary institutions. Enactus trains students to tackle real community challenges through innovative, sustainable projects.

What FCMB Has Done for Young Nigerians

FCMB has gone beyond sponsorship—it has provided resources, skills training, and mentorship opportunities to students who want to drive change. With FCMB’s support, young people have developed real-life solutions in sectors like clean energy, agribusiness, gender equality, and financial literacy.

Each year, the Enactus Challenge, sponsored by FCMB, gives students the chance to turn their ideas into practical projects. These are not just school competitions—they are real opportunities to grow, be mentored, and build careers that matter.

According to Enactus Nigeria Country Manager, Michael Ajayi:

“FCMB’s unwavering commitment to the Enactus movement has helped us deliver measurable impact in dozens of communities. FCMB has shown what it means to be a changemaker—not just in word, but in action.”

“When young people are empowered with the right tools and opportunities, they don’t just imagine a better Nigeria — they build it.”
