What Are the New Programmes? 

The Federal Government has launched three major World Bank-supported programmes worth $3.05 billion to improve the lives of millions of Nigerians. The initiatives are designed to reduce poverty, improve healthcare and education, support small businesses, strengthen farming, and assist internally displaced persons (IDPs). 

The programmes include: 

  • NG-CARES – Supports vulnerable households, farmers, MSMEs, and communities.

  • HOPE – Invests in primary healthcare, education, governance, and human capital development.
