The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates, also known as the First Series.

WAEC Announces Result Release

In a statement shared on its official X handle on Saturday, WAEC confirmed the release, stating:

“The results of the computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2025-First Series have been released.”

Candidates who sat for the examination can now check their results on the WAEC portal.

Challenges Faced by Candidates

Despite the announcement, some candidates have reported difficulties accessing their results. Complaints on social media indicate various issues, including invalid scratch card errors, registration restrictions, and website accessibility problems.

One candidate, Ephrata, shared on X:

“I checked mine now they’re saying my card has been used by another candidate. And this is my first time using it. Why is that? I bought another scratch card, same thing.”

Another user, endowedToBad, mentioned that his student had been unable to check their Nov/Dec 2024 results. Similarly, a user called Bigname expressed frustration about being unable to re-download his photo card, which contains the result-checking PIN.
