Free JAMB Registration for 1,000 Students: New Foundation Programme Brings Hope to Nigerian Youth

A non-profit foundation has launched a new education support initiative to sponsor free JAMB registration for 1,000 eligible Nigerian students in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja.

The programme is designed to help students who are unable to afford the cost of registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

The initiative is linked to a foundation associated with Nigerian actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, and focuses on reducing financial barriers that prevent many young people from pursuing higher education.

Why This Matters for Nigerian Students

Every year, thousands of students miss out on admission opportunities because of financial challenges. Beyond school fees, registration costs for major national exams can be a serious burden for families.

By covering JAMB registration fees, this programme allows selected candidates to focus on preparing for their examinations instead of worrying about how to pay.

“This initiative is aimed at removing financial barriers and giving young Nigerians a fair chance to pursue higher education, regardless of their background.”-Organizers

Who Can Benefit

The free JAMB registration support is open to:

Secondary school leavers and prospective candidates

Students from low-income households

Applicants who are residents of Port Harcourt, Lagos or Abuja

Only 1,000 students will be selected, so meeting the requirements and applying early is important.

How to Become a Beneficiary

Interested students are advised to follow these steps:

Watch out for the official application announcement on the foundation’s verified social media pages.

Complete the online application form when the portal opens.

Provide basic personal details, including your name, location and intended course of study.

Upload proof of need, such as a short-written explanation or supporting document, if requested.

Wait for confirmation from the organisers after the selection process.

Successful applicants will be contacted directly and guided on how their JAMB registration will be completed at no cost.

This free JAMB registration initiative offers real hope for students who may otherwise be left behind because of financial hardship. With proper awareness and transparent selection, the programme can help more Nigerian youths take their first step toward higher education and better opportunities.
