ipNX Inspires Girls in STEM with Women in Tech Outreach for IWD 2026
Nigeria’s digital inclusion drive received a major boost as ipNX reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women in technology through impactful STEM outreach programmes held to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026. The initiative, themed “Give to Gain,” focused on mentorship, access, and opportunities for young girls and women in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
Empowering Girls Through STEM Outreach in Lagos
As part of the celebration, ipNX visited Victoria Island Senior Secondary School, Lagos, where female students were introduced to exciting career pathways in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The interactive session offered:
Practical career guidance
Exposure to technology opportunities
Motivational mentorship talks
Real-life examples of women thriving in tech
The school also benefits from the company’s free broadband internet CSR initiative, helping students access digital learning tools and resources.
A Strong Message on Mentorship and Growth
Speaking during the outreach, Mary Falade, Account Manager at ipNX Business, stressed the need for early exposure and discipline in closing the gender gap in tech.
“When you give yourself to learning, discipline, and growth, you gain opportunities, confidence, and a future without limits. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself.”- Mary Falade, Account Manager
This inspiring message served as a reminder that today’s girls can become tomorrow’s innovators, founders, and technology leaders.
Women Leaders Driving Africa’s Digital Future
Beyond the school outreach, ipNX hosted a virtual webinar featuring renowned tech leader Dr. Nadu Denloye, former Group Managing Director of Telnet Nigeria Limited.
Her keynote presentation, “Beyond Inclusion: Women Building Influence, Driving Impact and Accelerating Growth,” explored how women are shaping Africa’s digital economy through leadership, resilience, and collaboration.
The session encouraged women in tech to embrace influence, leadership roles, and strategic growth opportunities.
ipNX’s Bigger Vision for Digital Inclusion
According to Folashade Efiong-Bassey, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services, the company remains committed to creating pathways that help women and girls thrive in STEM.
The broader goal is to:
Increase women’s participation in tech
Promote digital inclusion in Nigeria
Support innovation through mentorship
Build equal access to career opportunities
This initiative reflects ipNX’s long-term mission of building a people-driven and innovative digital ecosystem across Nigeria and Africa.
ipNX’s women-in-tech outreach is more than an IWD activity—it is a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future workforce. By mentoring girls early, expanding access to broadband, and spotlighting women leaders, the company is helping to close the gender gap in STEM and strengthen Africa’s digital economy.
As more organisations follow this path, Nigeria can expect a stronger pipeline of female innovators, engineers, and tech entrepreneurs ready to transform the future.
