Kelly Anthony Offers Scholarship to Five University of Benin Students

Canadian Nigerian singer, Kelly Osifo, popularly known as Kelly Anthony, has announced a scholarship program to sponsor five Nigerian students for their first year at the University of Benin (UNIBEN). The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on students and provide them with a solid foundation for their academic journey. 

Reason Behind the Initiative 

Speaking to Saturday Beats about his inspiration for the gesture, Kelly Anthony emphasized his deep-rooted love for his hometown, Benin City. 

He said, “I decided to embark on this project by sponsoring five students in the University of Benin because Benin City is my hometown and my place of birth. I truly admire my people with all my heart, and I want nothing but the best for the youth in my community. I believe in them and want to create a brighter future filled with opportunities for them.” 

What the Scholarship Covers 

Kelly Anthony’s foundation has committed to covering the acceptance and tuition fees of five students who successfully gain admission into UNIBEN. In addition to financial assistance, the foundation will also provide mentorship, support, and protection to ensure the beneficiaries excel academically. 

“As an artist, giving the youth a chance at a better future means a lot to me. I believe in Nigerian youths. With proper guidance and support, they will succeed, and that is what I stand for,” he added. 

How to Apply for the Scholarship 

Interested students who have registered for this year’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations are encouraged to apply for the scholarship by sending a direct message to @kellyanthonyfoundation with their details. The selection process will be based on merit, and only those who pass all their entrance exams into UNIBEN will be considered for the scholarship, regardless of their chosen course.
