Kwara State University Elevates 28 Lecturers in Major Academic Advancement

Three Professors, 25 Associate Professors Appointed Across Multiple Faculties 

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has taken a significant step in strengthening academic excellence by promoting 28 lecturers to higher academic positions. This includes three new full professors and 25 associate professors, reflecting the institution’s ongoing commitment to academic development and staff capacity building. 

This was made known in a statement issued by the Acting Director of University Relations, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, following the university’s 73rd Governing Council meeting held on Thursday. 

Meet the New Professors 

The newly appointed full professors are: 

    Professor Shehu Salau – Specialisation: Agricultural Production Economics, Faculty of Agriculture 

    Professor Moshood Zakariyah – Specialisation: Sociolinguistics, Faculty of Arts 

    Professor Olayiwola Olorisade – Specialisation: Educational Administration, Faculty of Education 

Their elevation highlights the university’s appreciation for academic dedication and excellence in research and teaching.
