Lafarge Africa has empowered its customers by providing 155 trucks to enhance business operations and address logistics challenges. This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to fostering customer growth, operational excellence, and sustainability in Nigeria’s construction industry. 

According to Lafarge Africa, this milestone demonstrates its dedication to creating long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth. The trucks aim to improve logistics efficiency, reduce transportation delays, and minimize carbon emissions from repeated trips.

Gbenga Onimowo, Lafarge Africa’s Commercial Director, represented by Babatunde Odufote, Head of Sales, Lagos, described the initiative as a game-changer. He said:

Osaze Aghatise, Logistics Director of Lafarge Africa, represented by Ogbonna Arua, Head of Logistics Projects, emphasized the operational significance of logistics in business success. He stated: 

    “Timely and efficient delivery of products is essential for meeting project timelines, satisfying customers, and maintaining our competitive edge. With these 155 trucks, we are equipping our customers to deliver Lafarge products with greater efficiency. 

Business Owners Celebrate the Initiative 

The beneficiaries expressed excitement about the trucks’ impact on their businesses. Abiodun Akinleye, CEO of Abiodun Akinleye Nigeria Enterprises, said the initiative would help expand his market reach and double his capacity. 

“With Lafarge’s support, we can increase our capacity from handling 5,000 tonnes to 20,000 tonnes monthly,” he said. 

Similarly, Abolaji Akigbogun, CEO of Boatan Ventures, highlighted how the trucks would stabilize his business. 

“For a while, I struggled to meet customer demand due to logistics challenges, losing orders as a result. This initiative will empower me to grow and stop the loss of orders,” he explained.
