PwC Donates N9 Million to Support Health, Education, and Social Inclusion

PwC Nigeria
PwC Nigeria has reinforced its commitment to social impact by donating N9 million to five organizations focused on health, education, and social inclusion. This initiative, part of the firm’s annual 5for5 Charity Drive, aims to empower vulnerable communities and drive meaningful change.
Now in its eighth year, the 5for5 Charity Drive aligns with PwC Africa’s broader societal purpose and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme enables the firm’s employees and partners to contribute voluntarily to initiatives that positively impact Nigerian communities.
Beneficiary Organizations and Their Impact
This year’s donation was shared among five organizations nominated and voted for by PwC staff. Each received N1.8 million to support their ongoing work in making a difference in their respective focus areas:
Advocates for Health and Rights of Women and Youths Initiative (Lagos) – Promotes the rights and well-being of women and youth.
Cerebral Palsy Centre (Lagos) – Provides specialized care and support for children with cerebral palsy.
Akoka Study Centre (Lagos) – Supports academic and moral development for young men.
Patrick Stephen Purple Heart Foundation for Widows (Lagos) – Provides assistance and empowerment opportunities for widows.
Darlez Care Orphanage Home (Abuja) – Offers shelter, care, and educational support for orphans.
Commitment to Long-Term Partnerships
During the donation visits, PwC representatives engaged with the organizations to understand their operations and explore potential avenues for future collaboration. Obioma Ubah, PwC Nigeria’s Corporate Responsibility Partner, highlighted the firm’s dedication to supporting initiatives that align with its focus on health, education, and social inclusion.
“For the past eight years, 5for5 has helped us support charities driving real change. This year’s beneficiaries are making a meaningful impact in their communities, and we are proud to assist them in their missions,” Ubah said.
