FG Extends Civil Service Recruitment Deadline to March 17

Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC)

The Federal Government has extended the application deadline for the ongoing Federal Civil Service recruitment exercise to March 17, 2025. This extension offers more Nigerians the opportunity to apply for positions across various ministries, departments, and agencies.

Why the Deadline Was Extended

The recruitment exercise, which began on January 27, 2025, initially had a deadline of March 10, 2025. However, many applicants faced difficulties accessing the recruitment portal, leading to widespread complaints. In response, the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) decided to extend the deadline by one week to allow more eligible Nigerians to apply.

FCSC spokesperson, Hassan Taiwo, acknowledged the technical issues experienced by some applicants but assured the public that others were able to register successfully.

Where to Find the Updated Information

The FCSC announced the extension in an advertisement published in The Sun and The Nation newspapers on March 10, 2025, as well as Daily Trust on March 11, 2025. The updated details are also available on the FCSC website (www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng).

How to Apply

Nigerians who meet the qualifications for the available positions are encouraged to take advantage of this extension. To apply:

Visit the official FCSC website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.

Navigate to the recruitment section and select the appropriate vacancy.

Follow the application guidelines and submit all required documents before the new deadline, March 17, 2025.

This extension is a great opportunity for eligible Nigerians to secure government jobs. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply before the new deadline, as the recruitment process will be transparent, and merit based.” — Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

Assurance of a Transparent Process

The FCSC has assured Nigerians that the recruitment process will be based on merit and transparency. All qualified applicants will be given equal opportunities to compete fairly for the available positions.

This extension provides a second chance for those who were unable to complete their applications due to technical difficulties. If you are qualified and interested in a career in the Federal Civil Service, do not miss this opportunity. Ensure you apply before the new deadline to increase your chances of securing a position.
